Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design
Green community colleges make sense both for the students and the taxpayers who fund them.
Green community colleges use less energy, water, and natural resources; create less waste; and are healthier and more comfortable for the students and faculty.
Green community colleges deliver lower energy and water bills; reduce greenhouse gas emissions; and and reduce student and faculty exposure to mold, mildew and other indoor irritants, along with lowering the incidence of flu, colds, asthma, and allergies from airborne contaminants.
